I realize we are only a few days into March and technically Winter isn't over, but lets think ahead to Spring. Before we do that though I want to go back to Thanksgiving weekend 2014. I was one of the folks that ended up without electricity for most of the weekend. My first ever Thanksgiving turkey never saw the oven due to power outages. It was a fresh bird so it eventually ended up in the garbage. Fortunately it was only 8 pounds but still a waste.

After the dust cleared that weekend I end up making pasta. Not very traditional but still good. When Christmas rolled around I was I bit head shy in the Kitchen. Rumors of a storm hovered but I ventured into the kitchen a cooked up a storm, no pun intended. It all turned out great. New Years came off without a hitch. Valentines day not so much. So here we are two weeks out from St Paddy's day and Spring. I think we are in the clear.

I think March will go out as a lamb. There will be no Easter ice storm and my storm candles will last another year. So here's to turning the clocks back and things thawing out. Can you say 40 degrees, please. And a quick shout out to CH Energy for all your hard work. My turkey might have gone "pear shape" but the rest of the winter was uneventful, Thank You!
