If you spend any time near the Hudson River or at any Hudson Valley waterways this summer, Newburgh Police are asking you to keep your eyes open for a stolen jet ski that may still be somewhere in the Hudson Valley.

There's probably no worse feeling than waking up one day to find that something you've worked hard for has disappeared. That's exactly what happened to the owner of a bright yellow Sea-Doo jet ski that disappeared from a residential property in the City of Newburgh, NY.

According to police, sometime on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, someone stole a Sea-Doo Model 10MC that was secured to a 2025 Triton LTWCLX trailer. Investigators shared a picture of the actual jet ski and trailer (above), making it a little easier for the public to identify if it's spotted parked in a driveway, sitting in a marina, or even being offered for sale online.

Keep Your Eyes Open

With summer in full swing, jet skis are everywhere across the Hudson Valley. Whether you're spending weekends on the Hudson River, Orange Lake, Greenwood Lake, or one of the region's many other popular boating spots, police are hoping an extra set of eyes could make all the difference.

Similar stolen recreational vehicles often end up being sold through online marketplaces or private sales, sometimes well outside the community where they were taken. That's why investigators are asking anyone who thinks they've seen this Sea-Doo or knows where it might be to come forward.

If you have any information about the theft or the current location of the jet ski and trailer, contact Detective Layne with the City of Newburgh Police Department at (845) 569-7511. Police said all tips can remain confidential.
