CVS Returns to Pawling With Temporary Pharmacy After Devastating Fire
If you live in Pawling and have been wondering when CVS pharmacy services would return after the devastating Fourth of July fire, there's finally some good news.
Just a few weeks after the fire destroyed the CVS Pharmacy on East Main Street, the company has opened a temporary mobile pharmacy to help serve the community while plans for a permanent location move forward.

The mobile pharmacy is now operating in the parking lot where the former CVS store once stood at 26 East Main Street. While the building itself is gone, local residents can once again fill prescriptions without having to travel to another town.
The temporary pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Massive Fire Destroys CVS in Pawling, NY
The reopening comes just weeks after the massive fire on July 4 that destroyed the longtime CVS location. The blaze, which started after severe storms rolled through the Hudson Valley, forced the building to be demolished. Since then, customers have been relying on nearby CVS locations for prescriptions and other pharmacy services.

In a statement, CVS Pharmacy thanked Governor Kathy Hochul's Office, Dutchess County officials, Village of Pawling leaders, and the community for their support following the fire.
"We're pleased to once again provide pharmacy care and services to the Pawling community while we work toward a permanent location," said Evan Miller, Division Vice President for CVS Pharmacy.
Permanent Location Coming Soon?
CVS says it's actively working with local leaders to establish a permanent pharmacy in Pawling. Until then, the mobile pharmacy will continue serving patients, and eligible prescription home delivery fees have also been waived.
The company also confirmed that all employees who worked at the former Pawling store have been reassigned either to the new mobile pharmacy or nearby CVS locations, allowing them to continue serving customers while the rebuilding process continues.
