With the holiday season right around the corner, many people will be looking at their budgets and hoping that they can grab everything that is on the gift list for their kids. There is a lot of stress these days with prices of everything going sky high.

Fortunately, the holiday season is when we start to see goodwill and joy being spread around our communities. One locally owned shop in Florida New York has gotten a jump on generosity this week and I just had to share what they have been up to.

Back In The Game Sports Consignment is on Main Street in Florida New York. From what I can see through their social media post they carry a lot of different types of sporting equipment including bikes. If you check in on their Facebook page you can see they have everything from shoes to skis to hula hoops.

It was one of the posts they shared yesterday that caught my eye. Apparently, they have been giving away kid's bikes. They have been catching parents off guard with this policy. Yesterday they surprised some parents who were hoping to get a bike as a birthday gift for their child not knowing that bikes for kids are free at the shop.

Yesterday alone the shop gave away 11 bikes and the total for October was 455 and counting. According to a Facebook post from today, a member of the community named Mike saw what Back in the Game Sports Consignment was doing and decided to chip in too.

Mike brought by some bikes he had refurbished and added them to the available stock. Today's count for bikes given away was 5 bringing the October total to 462 and counting.

No telling how many bikes they might give away by Christmas. When asked on Facebook will they be doing this again the answer was "I do this all day every day".
