Gone in a Flash Another New Paltz Business Closes Overnight
Down at the end of Main Street in the Village of New Paltz sits a building that for years was the official home of the Groovy Blueberry. Last April, the building became the official home of Windfall Farms Market and The Weedery.
The Sun Has Set On A New Paltz Business That Was Only Open For A Year
Yesterday, the news was shared by Windfalls Farm, The Weedery, and the Herbal Confectionery that all of the businesses would now be closed and leaving the location. In an Instagram post, it was explained that the final decision had been made to close.

The post made it clear that they would not be reopening at that location, but they also stated that they are working with some other New Paltz small business owners and hope to place some of their items with those folks soon. They want their customers to know this decision did not come lightly.
We are working to place some of our farm store goods in neighboring businesses in the interim, and are working diligently on a solution for our Adult use retail. To all our beautiful customers, we will be sending a more detailed newsletter on the re-opening of our locations and where you can find our goods in the meantime. (Windfall Farms via Instagram)

I can say as someone who spends a lot of time in New Paltz and at Water Street Market, Windfall Farms did a lot to make not only the building but also the parking lot across the street look clean and inviting. They even built large boxes, which I believe the plan was to have them become giant flower beds.
There is currently a For Sale sign up on the parking lot side of the property, so the sale could have played a part in this decision. When I hear where they will be reopening, I will be sure to share, so stay tuned.
