Police are seeking the public's help in locating a suspect who allegedly robbed a popular convenience Tuesday morning in Ulster County, NY.

The Saugerties Police Department is hoping the public can help them identify a suspect who was allegedly involved in the robbery of the Speedway convenience store at 199 Route 212 in Saugerties, NY.

Convenience Store Robbed in Saugerties, NY

The Saugerties Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that happened in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. According to Crime Watch, the suspect entered the Speedway at 199 Route 212 in Saugerties at approximately 5:24 a.m. and demanded that the cashier hand over money from the cash register. Thankfully, it appears that the cashier was unharmed.

The suspect, pictured above, proceeded to flee the scene in a waiting vehicle. It's unclear what type of vehicle the suspect fled in or if there was anyone else involved in the robbery.

Police didn't say how much money the suspect got away with, but did share some pictures that do show the suspect wearing a unique sweatshirt that appears to say "Grease Monkey" on it.
