Ultimate Race Competition Brings Two Events to New York

If you are a fan of the Spartan Races you are in for a treat this year in the Hudson Valley because they have scheduled two events both of which look like an exciting challenge.

Spartan Races Be Held in New York in 2025

If this is the first you are hearing about Spartan Racing let me just say from the limited amount of research I have done these events look intense but also exciting for people who want their running to be more than a jog around the neighborhood. These aren't your run-of-the-mill 5Ks.

The races use terms like Ultra and Beast. They also have sprints. It appears they include obstacles and rugged terrain trails. This may be why the locations of these races are so awesome.

Spartan Races come to Bear Mountain State Park

Later this year there will be a Spartan Races in New York. You may still have time to get up to speed to participate. The one that caught my eye is being held on May 3, 2025. The Bear Mountain Trail Challenge is a 10K, a Half Marathon, and a 50K run throughout Bear Mountain State Park.

Spartan Races Comes to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts

The second Spartan Events in New York for 2025 will be a weekend event at Bethel Woods on June 7 & 8, 2025. The 2025 Tri-State New York Spartan Event Weekend has something for everyone including the kids.

The two Spartan events in New York will be very different one climbs mountains and forest trails the other is spread out over grassy fields at the legendary field that was the site of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. I would love to do both but I have spent a little too much time on the couch this winter.
