Exciting Fundraiser Has People Cardboard Boating on the Delaware
One thing is for sure in the Hudson Valley, and that is that we know how to have fun and raise money at the same time. There is no shortage of events that allow us to entertain ourselves and others while helping out a great cause.
The Port Jervis Regatta is Back this August on the Delaware River
A perfect example of what I am describing is coming up on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, from 12 PM to 6 PM. Clear your calendar and join Port Jervis Tourism for the Delaware River Cardboard Boat Regatta and Beach Party.

This annual event supports the Port Jervis Fire Department's Special Operations Dive Team. Come to watch and enjoy the beach party, or if you want, make a boat to be part of the fun on the Delaware River. Many area businesses and organizations enter boats each year. Boat entry is just $35.

Where to Get Registration Information for the Port Jervis Regatta
If you do plan to enter a boat, make sure to check out the rules regarding boat design and construction. Information about all of that and the seven awards that are up for grabs that day can be found on the regatta's Facebook event page. If you are interested in being a vendor at the Beach Party, there may still be time to register online with the City of Port Jervis.

Port Jervis isn't the only town in the Hudson Valley to take advantage of being on a riverfront. New Paltz held its 70th Annual New Paltz Regatta this past June. It is a fun event to watch or be a part of on the Wallkill River.
