Upstate New York Resident Wins Massive Lottery Jackpot

A person from Upstate New York has claimed the grand prize on one of the New York Lottery's "Set For Life" scratch-off games.

Massive Lottery Win for Player in Upstate New York

According to the New York Lottery website, a Limited Liability Company (LLC) group from Albany, NY has claimed one of the grand prize jackpots of $5,000 A Week For Life in the lottery’s Set For Life scratch-off game. The lottery didn't identify the winner by name but said that the Hills Park DBGM Limited Liability Company (LLC) of Albany recently claimed the top prize. The group opted to take the cash value of the annuity prize and received a one-time payment of $2,238,986, after required taxes and withholdings.

The winning ticket was sold at a King Kullen grocery store located at 2305 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park, NY.

Set For Life in New York

The $10 scratch-off ticket offers players the chance to win various sums of money, including the top prize of $5,000 A Week For Life, with a minimum payout of $5,000,000. To win, all players need to do is scratch off and match any of "YOUR NUMBERS" to any of the 6 "WINNING NUMBERS", and win the prize shown. If you reveal a "coin" symbol, you automatically win the prize shown; reveal a "star" symbol and win 10 times the prize shown.

If you reveal a "life" symbol, you win $5,000 a week for life.

After announcing the massive win, the lottery said that there are still five top prizes left on the Set For Life tickets.
