School Bans Kids From Playing Tag

Tag has been brought back at Mercer Island’s elementary schools.

According to News 13, the Mercer Island School District announced that tag, as well as other games that were previously banned on school grounds because they involved some form of contact, is now allowed.

In a statement from the school, “Tag as we know it and have known it is reinstated”

This is getting ridiculous.

First schools eliminated one of my favorite games dodge ball and now tag is gone.

A school district in Mercer Island, Washington just banned kids from playing tag at recess.

According to News 13, Mercer Island School District say they outlawed Tag because "Students are expected to keep their hands to themselves. The rationale behind this is to ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students."

So apparently all these years, Tag has been a game of physical and psychological torture that could destroy kids for life. No not really but goodness what's next?

Parents are complaining and are hoping that the school comes to their senses and brings tag back.
