With Mother's Day coming up on Sunday, my thoughts obviously turn to my Mom, but also to my Gram, who we lost a few years ago. I always wonder what she would think about what how I'm doing in life. I know that I'm not alone. If you're lucky enough to still have your Mom here, spend as much time with her and talking with her as you can. If you don't have your Mom here anymore, know that I'm sending you a hug, and I hope that happy memories will be what you think of this Sunday.

As I work on the music for this weekend, I am reminded about how many great songs about Moms we have in Country music, so I though I'd share some of my favorites.

2007 Blake Shelton 'The Baby'

2009 Miranda Lambert  'The House That Built Me'

1988, Shenandoah 'Mama Knows'

2003 Martina McBride 'In My Daughter's Eyes'

2010 Carrie Underwood 'Mama's Song'

2015 Garth Brooks 'Mom'

1993 Patty Loveless 'How Can I Help You Say Goodbye'

1971 Dolly Parton 'A Coat of Many Colors'

2005 Jamie O'Neal 'Somebody's Hero'

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to find some tissues. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, step-moms, grandmothers, aunts, friends, sisters, and anyone who helps take care of a child, my hat is off to you.
