Last Minute: Restaurants Open for Thanksgiving in the Hudson Valley

For some people cooking Thanksgiving dinner is a right of passage. You grow up going to Grandma's house every year and then Finally one year it gets to be your turn. Other people avoid cooking Thanksgiving at all costs.

The pressure of cooking the Turkey for the big day can be tough. That might be why so many people choose to eat something other than the traditional bird. Many of you recently responded on Facebook that you don't go the turkey route instead opting for steak, lasagna even ham.

Where to Eat Out on Thanksgiving in the Hudson Valley

If you don't want to cook but you still want to enjoy a turkey dinner with all the sides and fixings this could be the solution. Make a reservation. I have put together a quick list of some of the places I found offering to do the cooking. I even found a few places looking to have you stop out the night before.

Port Ewen Diner - on Route 9W in Port Ewen, NY is offering Eat In or Take Out on Thanksgiving Day. Call ahead for more info at (845) 339-8972. Open Thanksgiving from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Blu Pointe - 120 Front Street in Newburgh, NY is an award-winning farm-to-table restaurant offering Thanksgiving Feast to Go for two for just $49.95. You must order ahead of time at (845) 568-0100. Pick-up is from 11 AM to 3 PM on Thanksgiving Day.

Ole Savanah Southern Table and Bar - 100 Rondout Landing Kingston NY. They are offering an Eat in Turkey Day Buffet from 12 PM to 7 PM. Make reservations at (845) 331-4283. You can get takeout too. Pick-up is on Thanksgiving Day from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Garvan's (Must Have Reservations) - 215 Huguenot Street in New Paltz, NY is open Thanksgiving Day and is taking reservations now. Hurry they may already be sold out for the $75 per person holiday menu call (845) 255-7888 servings are 12 PM to 6 PM.
