In three separate cases, four people are accused of trying to smuggle drugs into a Hudson Valley jail.

On March 24, 33-year-old Trina Jordan of Neversink was arrested when she attempted to have a book containing Suboxone delivered to her husband, Joseph Jordan, 40, who was an inmate at the Sullivan County jail, police say.

On April 10, deputies arrested 35-year-old Clarence Hinkley Jr. of Livingston Manor.

Hinkley, who was an inmate trustee, was spotted by a deputy sheriff retrieving contraband from a public bathroom that he was cleaning in the patrol division of the Sheriff's Office, officials say.

On April 20, deputies assigned to the Sullivan County Jail visiting room inspected a magazine that was dropped off for an inmate.

The magazine was found to contain strips of the controlled substance Suboxone, police say. The magazine was allegedly delivered to the jail by 58-year-old Kelly Sattler of Jeffersonville.

All four were charged with promoting prison contraband, a felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Trina and Joseph Jordan additionally received a misdemeanor charge for conspiracy.
