New Paltz Launching Project to Help Neighbors
It is great to see many local Hudson Valley towns doing what they can to come together during this massive crisis we're all facing.
We can add New Paltz to the list of communities coming together in this crisis as the New Paltz Community Foundation has just announced that they are launching a program called, ""Project Help Your Neighbors 2020".
The project will help to provide meal vouchers for people within the community that need help during these difficult times. The meal vouchers will be redeemable at many participating local, independently-owned restaurants, cafes, and delis throughout New Paltz and Gardiner.
To get the project started the NPCF Board members have pledged $10,000 and another $5,000 from the Foundation treasury, for a total of $15,000. The meal vouchers they will provide will be worth $20 for an individual or $50 for a family in need and can be picked up at Family of New Paltz located at 51 N Chestnut St, New Paltz. For information you can call (845) 255-8801.
If you are a New Paltz or Gardiner community member and would like to make a donation to this great program you can send any financial contributions to New Paltz Community Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 1112, New Paltz, NY 12561 or made via PayPal here.
