Have you noticed a change at this car dealership in Kingston, New York?

Have you ever noticed that the Hudson Valley is home to a ton of car dealerships? It doesn't matter which county you call home, Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Sullivan, or Putnam, your county most likely has at least 3 or more car dealerships scattered around the area.

The Hudson Valley Loves Cars

On Route 9 alone in Dutchess County, there are at least 7 or 8 dealerships within 5-10 miles of each other including all the big names in cars like Mazda, Chevrolet, Ford, BMW, Toyota, Subaru, GMC, Jeep, and Nissan. Most dealerships are owned by different companies, which makes sense but did you know that in Ulster County there's a name that's begun to take over the car game?

Romeo

The Romeo name isn't new to cars in Ulster or Greene County as they've been doing car business in Kingston and surrounding areas since 1999 when they first purchased the Buick Pontiac store. Since purchasing their first dealership the Romeo group hasn't looked back and has continued to expand all across the area. The Romeo Group's leader is Leonard Romeo and since 1999 his group has purchased numerous dealerships in and around Ulster County including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Kia, Ford, and Volkswagen.

Not only has the Romeo group purchased many of the dealerships in the area but they have also opened a new Chevrolet Buick GMC facility and Kia dealership on Ulster Ave in Lake Katrine, NY giving Kingston and surrounding area residents numerous options when it comes to buying a car. One might think the Romeo group has all they can handle in cars, right? NO!! Expansion and new facilities haven't stopped the Romeo Group from adding another big name to its stable of options.

Romeo Nissan?

After we heard from a few fans in the Kingston area who reached out after they noticed a sign change at the Nissan car dealership off Route 28 in Kingston. One asked if we had heard that "Romeo had taken over Kingston Nissan?" At the time I didn't, but after reaching out to the folks at Romeo it's true, they have officially moved into the former Kingston Nissan facility at 140 NY-28, Kingston, NY.
