Once again multiple fire companies were out overnight battling a fire in a building in Sullivan County. Videos were posted to social media last night and shared in numerous groups on Facebook that another old build waiting for renovation went up in flames.

Earlier this year The Nevele Hotel in Ulster County which was reportedly being renovated/torn down to be rebuilt burned overnight leaving it in ruin and sealing its fate of ever being renovated. Back in October of 2023, a new owner of the property announced his intentions to restore it to its glory.

Last night was the end of the building that once housed a hospital and later an assisted living facility. The building had a great history but in the end, it closed with a miserable fate. Antiquity Echoes did a story about the building most recently known as Monticello Manor and if the account is correct the building had lost its grandeur a while ago.

In 2018 JP Videos did a tour of the property and its buildings and if their account from 6 years ago was accurate I can imagine the state the building was in at the time of the fire last night.

Multiple Fire Departments were on the scene of the Monticello Manor fire on Wednesday. The White Lake Fire Department shared photos from the 3 and a half hours fighting the flames. No other details about the fire or its cause are available at this time.
