Luke Bryan’s Brother-In-Law Passes Away

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Luke Bryan family, as tragically, Luke lost his brother-in-law, Ben Lee Cheshire over the Thanksgiving weekend (November 29th). Cheshire was 46-years-old, and was married to Bryan’s sister, Kelly, who passed away on May 8th, 2007 at the age of 39.

Ben Lee Cheshire, who was a resident of Leesburg, Georgia, died at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A cause of death has not been released. He is survived by his children, Jordan Cheshire, Kris Cheshire and Til Cheshire; his parents, Ben and Barbara Cheshire Jr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Stacey and Kevin Scott; his in-laws, Luke and Caroline Bryan, LeClaire Bryan and Tommy and Kaye Bryan, as well as nephews, nieces, and numerous cousins.

Bryan, along with the Rev. Andy Hardin, will officiate the ceremony, which will take place today. Luke had been scheduled to perform at tonight's CMT Artists of the Year event as one of the 2014 winners, but has now cancelled his appearance there due to his brother-in-law’s passing.
