Hudson Valley Police Officer Injured in Car Crash

The accident took place early Monday morning.

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, a Town of Poughkeepsie Police officer was involved in an early morning accident at the intersection of the eastbound arterial 44/55 and South Grand Avenue.

Police Captain Ken Roman told the Journal that the officer involved in the accident did suffer minor injuries and was taken to the Mid Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.

Roman also said that the accident is under investigation by the City of Poughkeepsie police department and once the investigation is done they will release more details.

I'm not sure if the accident was weather-related but we are getting reports of really bad icing on some of the roadways here in the Hudson Valley, so please be careful driving.
