Police need our help.

According to the Times Herald Record, Newburgh Police are turning to the public to help in identifying a suspect who snatched a gold bracelet from the wrist of a 3 year old little girl while the girl played with her two cousins at Recreation Park back on June 10.

Police say that the young girl was playing on the parks playground which is located at South Robinson Avenue and South William Street in Newburgh, around 1 p.m. on Friday June 10th when a male suspect removed the bracelet from her wrist and fled east on South William Street.

Family members told Police that they did witness the theft and tried to catch the suspect but were unable to track him down.

Police describe the suspect as a slender built black male, around 14 or 15 years old, with a shaved head. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue shorts and black sneakers.
