They are finally fixing the sinkhole in Kingston that's been there for quite sometime.

According to the Daily Freeman, heavy equipment needed to repair the Washington Ave sinkhole will start to move in today.

City Engineer Ralph Swenson told the Freeman that he expects the equipment, which will include a large crane to move in Monday. The actual work, known as densification, will begin before Friday.

He also said that the work is part of a “densification” process to compact soil at the site, which is near the corner of Linderman Avenue and that the vibrations neighbors will feel are not expected to cause damage to homes.
