Meet Our Wolf Den Of Heroes April Inductee: Joseph Maffettone
It's been a year since we started The Wolf Den of Heroes and it's the best decision we've ever made.
Meet The Wolf Den of Heroes April Inductee: Joseph Maffettone
We've received tons of First Responder nominations for our Wolf Den of Heroes over the last year. This month we're spotlighting Joseph Maffettone, the 1st Assistant Chief at Continental Village Fire Department.
Kayla Joseph's finance nominated him and wrote that he should be this month's inductee because she has witnessed "firsthand how dedicated he is to our community."
Not only is he the 1st Assistant Cheif, He's also a volunteer with the local ambulance service. Kayla goes on to write:
No matter what time a call comes in, he’s ready to be a total stranger's helping hand. He dedicates his free time to the members of our community who need his help the most. He’s a calm, helpful, and kind hand to someone who may be facing their worst day ever and I’m so proud of him for assisting those in need.
As we hear from many of our Wolf Den of Heroes inductees in local fire departments, they are looking for volunteers. If you're in the Mohegan Lake/Garrison area and would like to volunteer with the Continental Village Fire Department visit their website.
Thank you, Joseph, for your service to your community!
The Wolf Den of Heroes Celebrates First Anniversary
For the last several years here at The Wolf, we've been trying to figure out a way to give the spotlight to the First Responders in our community. They do so much for us and leave their families at the drop of a dime to help out our neighbors in need.
We decided the least we could do is give them the spotlight on our show and social media accounts as a 'thank you' for all they do. Then, our friends at Mental Health America Dutchess County jumped on board and wanted to give The Wolf Den inductees a $250 Visa gift card.
Nominate The First Responder in Your Life
If you'd like to nominate the first responder in your life, fill out the form on our website.
Take a minute to share some information about said First Responder and send us a picture or 2. We'll be picking our May inductee at the end of the month.
