Happy Pi Day: Who Has the Best Pie in the Hudson Valley?
Today is National Pi Day. March 14 is celebrated as Pi Day because 3, 1, 4 are the first three significant numbers in Pi. I'm horrible with math so I had to look that part up.
Every year I like to celebrate Pi Day by eating pie, of course. My wife has me on a diet because of lent so I'm not sure if I'll be able to celebrate publicly or not but I did start thinking.
How has the best pie in Poughkeepsie? I'll take that one more step and ask, what is the best kind of pie?
I'm not a big fan of apple pie but make one with fresh apples from the Hudson Valley Regional Farmers Market, and I'm all about it.
I like chocolate cream, peanut butter and Oreo but I'm willing to try anything as long as it's not a fruit pie. I've never had the desire to try rhubarb but I'm dying to try some sweet potato pie.
I like the chocolate and the chocolate peanut butter at Perkins but my wife makes the best chocolate pie ever.
Nothing beats a homemade pie but I've found that the second best are the local diners.
Since Pi means divisible by.....have 2. There is only ONE Pi Day after all.
