I Think My Wife Is Done Cooking Because I’m Just Bad Luck

So my wife has cooked Thanksgiving dinner for as long as we have been together and according to her and her dad, she's been doing it since she was about 16.

My mother-in-law likes to think that it's her that does the cooking but it's my wife.

However, there has always been an issue of some kind. I'm not talking an issue between her and her mom or even an issue with the food.

There has been an issue with luck.

She stopped cooking Christmas dinner last year when we spent 3 hours in the hospital getting her stitches on Christmas Eve.   Easter was almost as bad as she severely burned her arm and dropped a pot on her toe.

Thanksgiving seems to be no different because she spent 2 hours in the ER again today getting stitches from preparing Thanksgiving dinner.

I'm starting to think that the issue may be me.

She seems to have bad luck cooking, ever since she's been with me.

The food is always good but I'm really thinking we go out and have dinner next year.
