A UPS driver in the Hudson Valley went viral for helping keep the Christmas spirit alive.

On Thursday, Mike Delaney of Warwick posted a video to Facebook that showed a UPS driver placing a package in an unusual spot.

The surveillance video shows the delivery man placing a large box not next to the Warwick home's front door but near the garage. The unnamed UPS driver than moved two garbage bins and placed them in front of the large package, in hopes of hiding it from children.

The box wasn't one of those typical delivery boxes, where you don't know what's inside. The box shows what appears to be a bicycle for a kid. So, if Delany's child wanted a bicycle this holiday season and saw the box before his parents moved it, the child would have seen the gift before the parents would have wanted.

"When your @ups driver is the man and makes sure the kids don’t see any gifts! Thanks Dude! For all of you wondering. He said he hid the package so our kids didn’t see it," Delany wrote on Facebook.

Delany's wife, Megan Delany, later identified the UPS driver as "Josh."

"The real MVP being Josh, thank you so much for helping keep the magic of Christmas in our house- we’re so grateful for you," she wrote on Facebook.

Mike Delany's Facebook post has been shared over 7,200 times, as of this writing, and viewed nearly a half-million times. It was also posted to Twitter and has been shared nearly a half-million times
