How to Make Snow Ice Cream
It's snowing. It's been snowing. The novelty of a snow day for your kids has worn off and it is probably to early to send them to bed. Now, what do you do? I have a perfect idea, let's make snow ice cream.
I remember my mom making it for us when we had a snow day. She would use warm maple syrup or honey to flavor it, but you can make vanilla, coffee, chocolate, strawberry, let your imagination and taste buds guide you.
A couple of things to keep in mind when you watch the video below, I apologize for the wind chimes, we just had to have a wind gust as I began taping, and since I show two different ways to make a vanilla ice cream, just fast forward to the section you want.
You can keep your snow ice cream in the freezer for a few days, or just wait until the next snow storm and make some more. Plus, I didn't mention this in the video, but if you have packets of instant hot chocolate mix, simply add that to some milk or cream and stir in. You won't need to add sugar since it's already in the mix.
Hope you enjoyed my video, let me know what you think. Here's to more snowy days and more snow ice cream! Sorry, I might have gotten carried away there.
