Spring is finally here in the Hudson Valley and that means one thing: Ice Cream season is back!
Hudson Valley residents have been patiently waiting to hear news about the status of Mary Jane's Dairy Bar in Newburgh, NY.
It looks like opening day for the Newburgh ice cream staple is right around the corner.
Car Crashes Through Newburgh Ice Cream Shop
In February 2023, a car crashed through the extremely popular Mary Jane's Dairy Bar on Route 9W.
The driver was allegedly driving while intoxicated and was later charged with DWI and more. Thankfully no one was injured in the crash as it happened after hours and after Mary Jane's had shut down for the season.

Unfortunately, the accident left behind a path of destruction and forced Margret Gallo and the team at Mary Jane's Dairy Bar to close their doors and make several costly repairs to one of the most popular ice cream shops in the Hudson Valley.
Ice cream lovers have been patiently waiting for Mary Jane's to reopen. If you've been paying close enough attention, you may have noticed excitement building on social media as Mary Jane's has been teasing big news.
It looks like the time is finally here!
Mary Jane's Dairy Bar in Newburgh, NY Announces Grand Reopening
Margret Gallo joined The Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show on The Wolf to announce Mary Jane's Dairy Bar Grand Reopening on Friday, April 5th, 2024.
Mary Jane's is opened 11 am to 9:30 pm every day for the remainder of the ice cream season which runs until the end of October. Bring the family out to support a local business, that has been in the area since the 60s!
Gallo tells us all of Mary Jane's 48 flavors (!!!!) are made in-house along with everything they make at the Dairy Bar. We're talking ice cream, milkshakes, ice cream cakes, Italian ice and more!
