This great event is set to take place on Saturday afternoon, January 28th.

Most of us remember being 13 years old and if you think back to the 13 year old you, things were probably a lot simpler than today.

Now imagine being 13 and having to fight a life threatening disease everyday.

It's hard to even think about it but it is reality for 13 year old Jo Mongelluzzo, who is a student in the Rondout Valley Central School District.

According to the Daily Freeman, Jo has been battling a form of bone cancer for six months and the medical expenses involved with the treatment have been tremendous and Jo and his family could use our help.

The fundraising event will take place Saturday, January 28th at the Rondout Valley Middle School from noon until 4 p.m.

The event will have a ton of things to do for everyone including, great food, a chili dog cook-off, games, a silent auction, a blood drive and a bottle flipping contest.

All the monies raised will go directly to the Mongelluzzo family.
