FGL is Teaming Up with DLM

I am so looking forward to Sunday April 19th. The 50th Academy of Country Music Awards will be the musical award show of 2015. Blake, Luke, a big COWBOY Stadium and country performances that will make history. Set the DVR for April 19th, 8pm, CBS.

It is actually a whole weekend of musical celebrations and performances but the TV viewers only get to enjoy Sunday's show. Or at least that's what I thought until I stumbled across a note from David Lee Murphy on Facebook this past Friday. It turns out that their is a "not to be missed additional ACM show being taped Saturday night for broadcast later in May.

The next DVR moment will be May 15, again on CBS, but this time at 9pm and it might even be better than the Show on April 19th. The ACM's in honor of their 50th year are doing a special duets show, ACM Presents: Superstar Duets. David Lee Murphy will be joining Florida Georgia Line for a collaborative effort on David's tune "Dust On The Bottle". The version is said to be rockin' and I don't doubt it.

Dust On The Bottle is a song written by David one morning when he was sitting at his kitchen table. He says it just came to him. It was the fourth release off his "Out with A Bang" CD. It debut at number 72 in August of 1995 on the Billboard Hot Country Single and Tracks Chart and made it all the way to number one before year's end. It was also David's only number one song.

I am really looking forward to this Duet. I love the boys of FGL and I have always been a big DLM Fan. I am sure there will be lots of great duets that night but this might be my sentimental favorite. Enjoy the original song in this blog and be sure to tune in May 15th.
