CJ Tried to Sheetrock
What is something that some people can do but you can't?
If you listen to the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show you know that I am not the handiest person in the world. I can handle small house and car repairs but when it comes to certain things I am completely lost and I proved it once again yesterday.
I'm getting ready to sell my house and with that there are a few things that needed to be done at the house before we listed it.
The one thing that had to be done was to repair a sheetrock hole in the garage so after my contractor friend told me that he couldn't make it to fix, I decided that I was going to try and do it myself.
I headed over to Home Depot and got some sheetrock, joint compound and tape(which is NOT the sticky kinda tape...UGH!) and tried to get at it.
After measuring the hole and cutting the "rock" I went to put the new piece in and of course I screwed up the measurements so the piece was to small. UGH!! So I got the bright idea to try and use a ton of compound to try and hold it in place and I thought I had it.
That is until I left it to dry for a few hours and when I got back the piece of sheetrock was on the garage floor. It was just sitting there looking up at me, laughing! LOL!
How did I fix it? I broke out a fresh roll of duct tape and it's all fixed.
I'm telling you this story so that if you have a person in your life that does sheetrock for a living, give them a high five from me because I swear its one of the hardest things I have ever had to do!!!
