Chris Stapleton Sings ZZ Top Parody With Jimmy Fallon and Kevin Bacon [Watch]
Chris Stapleton worked in a little fun into his appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Monday (May 8) — furry white guitars and all.
The country singer participated in a segment called 'First Drafts of Rock' with the late night host, as well as famed actor Kevin Bacon. Dressed in wigs and fake beards, the guys added a unique spin to ZZ Top's "Legs" with hilarious new lyrics like "She's got a belly button / An innie, not an outie / She's got a head / In Spanish it's 'cabeza.'"
Fallon did his best Billy Gibbons impression while Bacon rocked out on drums, with Stapleton sounding incredible as always, even on a parody song.
From A Room, Volume 1 Makes Our Best Albums of 2017 List!
Later in the show, the country star returned to his normal state to take the stage for a performance of "I Was Wrong" off his new album, From A Room: Volume 1. Accompanied by his wife and frequent duet partner Morgane, Stapleton crooned the thoughtful lyrics "I've been thinking 'bout my thoughtless words / And I know just how much they must have hurt / And I take it back / Won't you let me take it back" while showing off his signature guitar skills.
From A Room: Volume 1 dropped on Friday (May 5). The album's first single, "Either Way," also features Morgane on background vocals. Stapleton shared numerous songs from the project up until its official release including "Broken Halos" and an amazing cover of Willie Nelson's "Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning." From A Room: Volume 2 is set to be released later in 2017.
