BREAKING: New Paltz Fire Department Responding to Middle School

A two alarm fire has been reported in New Paltz, according to Police.

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, the New Paltz Fire Department is responding to a call at the New Paltz middle school.

If you have kids at the New Paltz Middle School which is located at 2 South Manheim Blvd in New Paltz, police are now asking that you re-route your kids to the New Paltz High School, located at 130 South Putt Corners Road due to the fire.

According to reports there is a second alarm fire at the middle school, with one of the reports saying that the fire is a kitchen fire.

The New Paltz Police Department said through email that "Anyone dropping off at Middle School request they be re-routed to NP (New Paltz) High School."
