Meet The Wolf Den of Heroes May Inductee: Shawn Milton
Shawn Milton was nominated by his oldest daughter Mackenzie. She included this information with her nomination.
My father is a fourth-generation VOLUNTEER firefighter who serves the community daily. He recently aided in putting out a fire in which he saved multiple animals and the homeowner. He has been said to be one of the best firefighters in our county and area.
When Shawn talked with CJ and Jess he mentioned that he joined his first fire company at 19 years of age. He has been a member of the Millerton Fire Company now known as North East. Later he joined the Sharon Fire Department in Sharon, Connecticut where he is now the 1st Leuitentent Connecticut. He is also a current member of the fire department in his hometown of Amenia, New York.
Shawn's family has a long history of being firefighters. His father has been an active member for 30 years. His grandfather served as a member for 53 years in Millerton. Shawn also had uncles who served and now his children are coming through the ranks. Mackenzie his oldest daughter who nominated him is a member in Sharon, CT. His other daughter Savannah and his son Jaden are both junior members.

The Wolf Den of Heroes Celebrates First Responders in Our Community
For the last several years here at The Wolf, we've been trying to figure out a way to put a spotlight on the First Responders in our community. They do so much for us and leave their families at a moments notice to help out our neighbors in need.
We decided the least we could do is give them the spotlight on Wakin' Up With CJ and Jess and social media as a 'thank you' for all they do. Then, our partners at Mental Health America Dutchess County and Mid Hudson Pump jumped on board with their support and because of them each month the First Responder Wolf Den Inductee receives a gift of $250.
