A few days ago there was some talk about the possibility of seeing a few snowflakes on Saturday.

Two days ago, the talk was that we might get a little more than a few snowflakes, but we'd have to watch the track of the system.

Today, the first storm of the season has been named, and Winter Storm Benji is on its way to the Hudson Valley and should arrive tomorrow.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Eastern Columbia County and Dutchess County from 7 am on Saturday to 7 am on Sunday. What can we expect with this storm?

These areas could see 3 to 5 inches of snow, with snowfall rates, at times, of half an inch per hour.

This will cause reduced visibility and slippery road conditions. Please use caution while driving. Throughout the day tomorrow, you can call 511 for the latest road conditions in your area.
