When Was the Last Time You Entered a Book Store?

Remember when we used to go to book stores? Do you still go?

I'm not that old but I remember a time when we had to read a book to learn something.

A few weeks ago we all watched in amazement as the man who basically single handedly destroyed book stores got launched into space. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon decided that being the richest man on the planet wasn't enough. He had to be the wealthiest person in outer space as well.

If you're an avid reader or maybe just like to do it in your spare time I just want to know if you read them digitally or do still buy actual hard copies of books?

I still prefer holding a copy in my hand. If you know me you know that I'm a big comic reader. Almost every issue ever printed is now housed on digital platforms. You don't even need to buy them all individually. You can just stream them.

However, I still prefer holding them in my hands, turning the pages and even smelling them. Is that weird?

I recently stopped in to the Barnes and Noble location on Rte 9 in Poughkeepsie. I hadn't been there in years and I was blown away by what I found. They really are so much more than just a a book store. They are a great hub for all things related to pop culture.

When I'm visiting small towns I almost always stop and peak inside small book shops. I can't be the only on that does this.

Do you still go to libraries and local book stores?
