3 or 4 months ago if you told me that traveling within the US would be a problem due to a worldwide pandemic I would have never believed you. But here we are.

There are travel advisories left and right and if you go to certain states, when you come back home to New York you have to self quarantine for two weeks. 14 whole days. So a vacation after the vacation.

Either way, I think we can all agree it's a pain in the butt.

With that being said, I've been reminiscing with friends and family about some of our favorite vacations of years past.

Usually the vacation stories that are worth telling are the ones where things get so out of control that it almost ruins your vacation.

A fun story my family likes to tell is the time we went to Lake George when I was about 3 years old. For the longest time I though it was just me, my parents and brother, but I just learned this weekend that our whole extended family was there too, which makes this a little more embarrassing.

Apparently, I took it upon my 3 year old self to go into the bathroom when no one was looking and lock myself inside. After several attempts from the adults to get me to unlock it, the cops and fire department had to be called.

Needless to say it's one family get away that no one could forget.

Have you had a disastrous family vacation?  Maybe you had one too many drinks on a cruise and made a fool of yourself on board? Did you miss your flight one year? Ever get sunburn so bad that you had to stay in the room the rest of vacation?

We want to hear all about it to make you feel a little better about your 2020 Hudson Valley stay-cation.
