Since it's summertime here in the Hudson Valley, we've experienced a thunderstorm or two.

For example, just yesterday we were given a few Severe Thunderstorm warnings in different parts of the Valley. We know that severe weather can obviously be dangerous and we expect to see things like heavy rains, windy and thunder and lightning.

The National Weather Service in Albany tweeted out some that there was a "slight risk" of severe thunderstorms on Wednesday.

Apparently, there are 5 different risk categories when it comes to severe thunderstorms.

Marginal

Slight

Enhanced

Moderate

High

The following tweet explains what to expect from each level storm.

As of right now, according to Hudson Valley Weather, there are no big storms in the forecast for the weekend. But as we all know that could change at the drop of a dime.
