Who Would Do Something Like This?
That's the question many are asking after seeing the picture of the kittens above. Unfortunately, there aren't many details about who left the kittens or why but the SPCA did say that they are reviewing their camera footage to see if it's possible to identify the person who dumped them. We have reached out to them for a comment but haven't heard back yet.
Inhumane, But Unnecessary!
The SPCA also said that they were "grateful" that the person at least left the kittens on their grounds instead of by the side of the road or in a field, which would have been much worse. They also clarified that the whole action of dumping any defenseless animal is not only "inhumane, but unnecessary."

They said all the owner had to do was to contact them to surrender and the kittens wouldn't have had to go through the "ordeal of being left in the cold in a box with barely any air".
