"Doxing" Threat at Kingston School
After a thorough investigation, KPD determined that the threat was not credible and that the threat originated outside the United States. They explained that they believed it was made by an individual who appeared to be "doxing".
What is Doxing?
Doxing is a form of cyberbullying and usually involves the collection and release of sensitive or secret information. The goal of a "doxing" attempt is to embarrass, intimidate, or harass the victim according to a KPD press release, which ended by saying "At this time there is no threat to the public, the school district, or any of its students arising this social media post."
Due to a mix of winter weather on Monday (2/3), Kingston High School opened on a two-hour delay with all students expected to attend.
