This weekend may be your last chance to enjoy the colors of Fall.

The Foliage Network, a website dedicated to tracking the changing leaves of Autumn, reports that the Hudson Valley is now completely at its peak, with the best views of Fall colors happening right now.

The Hudson Valley is now completely at its peak, with the best views of Fall colors happening right now.

The latest report that was issued on Thursday shows leaves in higher elevations to our north in Vermont and Main already past peak, with leaves mostly gone from branches. Leaf drop in the Hudson Valley, however, is moderate and colors continue to dazzle throughout our area.

Looking outside our window at the WPDH studios, it's clear that there is color everywhere with familiar golds, oranges and reds blanketing the horizon. Weather for the beginning of the weekend is expected to be perfect for leaf-peepers, with temperatures in the upper 50s and plenty of sunshine. Sunday may be the beginning of the end, however, as a 60% chance of showers may bring down even more leaves and make it more difficult for those hoping to enjoy the foliage.

Have you been enjoying this year's Fall colors? Were our expert's predictions correct about the dry weather not having much of an effect on the foliage?
