I'm sure when this robber woke up and planned his day of theft, this wasn't part of the plan.

During the early hours, in a Midlothian, Texas gas station Daniel Gaskey, former Marine and current Firefighter, was making a simple purchase. At that moment a gentlemen walked in with a black mask on wielding a knife. The man then tapped Daniel on the shoulder and moved him out of the way. Daniel backed up let the man in front of him. Then jumped into action.

Gaskey told Fox and Friends "I felt like I could control that situation really quickly, but ya had to move fast." And move fast he did. As you can see in the video he tackled the suspect and held him down until the police arrived. That is some quick thinking!

Daniel worked intelligence while serving 8 tours in Iraq.
