The Great Halloween Costume Give Back
Can you help us with this?
!!UPDATE!!! We will start taking your costume donations on November 4th at the Wolf studios at 2 Pendell Rd in Poughkeepsie. Right near Dutchess Community College. We will except costumes though Friday Novmebr 15th!!!
With Halloween right around the corner, we have been talking about a bunch of Halloween themed things. You know, favorite candy, what to hand out to trick or treaters, what should we dress up as? All kinds of questions but the one thing I noticed this year is that the cost of costumes for adults and kids is kind of ridiculous.
The average kid costume at most stores can be anywhere from $40 and up, which to me seems like a lot of money for a wear it once event. Right?
So Jess and I started talking about how costumes costs are getting ridiculous and we wanted to come up with a way to help out families that can't afford to buy their kids good costumes.
We are calling it the "Great Costume Give Back" and here is how we can all help out. After you get done trick or treating with the kids this year and after all of the Halloween parties, gently take off your child's or your costume and put it aside.
The first week of November, Jess and I will give you details on where you can drop off your gently used costume to us and we will hold on to them until next October to give to families or a charity that are looking for kids costumes for Halloween 2020.
Keep listening for more details and thanks for helping out
