The Dutchess County Tavern Trail Continues this Month in Dover
I'm a firm believer that you should always have fun while you're learning. I think this is the perfect way for adults to learn about the Hudson Valley while enjoying an ice cold beverage.
The 2018 Dutchess County Tavern Trail kicked off back in April at a sold-out event in Maura’s Kitchen. This Friday, May 11, they're hosting their second event at the Tabor-Wing House on Route 22 in Dover Plains.
Starting at 6:30, those with reservations can learn about iconic locals while focusing on the theme of "Remembering the Great War: From the Western Front to the Home Front."
The stories will differ from every location on the tour and will, according to a press release, tell tales "from the state of local communities before the war to the fate of veterans after the Treaty of Versaille"
To make your reservation visit the Meet Up Dutchess County Historic Tavern Trail tour website. Tickets are $15 per person and include a "variety of local dishes prepared by the Dover Historical Society."
The Dutchess County Tavern Trail will continue on June 8th at Hotel Tivoli, the East Fishkill Historical Society in Hopewell Junction on July 20 and Millerton American Legion Hall on September 21.
