The change in weather will be bringing with it a change in wardrobe for many of us. We will soon add our favorite sweater or sweatshirt to our regular everyday wear. The cooler temperatures will most likely have you looking for your jacket too.

For me, the change in temperature means that I am headed to the closet to find my favorite cold weather accessory. And truth be told I have been known to wear these in warmer weather as well. I am talking about my trusty scarves.

National Scarf Day is in September

There is something about a scarf wrapped around your neck that says I am warm. I find that often I can just wear a scarf and suddenly I am warmer. I have been known to use a scarf for warmth instead of a light jacket. Scarves truly are my favorite accessory.

Just so we are clear I am not just talking about the traditional scarf you might wear to accent an outfit you have on. I am also not talking about the wool kind that goes well with your winter coat. I am talking full-blown colorful scarf that is big enough to be a small blanket. As a matter of fact, I once had a co-work say they know it is officially cold outside when Paty is wearing her blanket.

If you want to join in on the scarf fun you can use National Scarf Day as a reason to start. September 27 is officially National Scarf Day since 2018 thanks to Echo New York. So grab your favorite scarf and join all the scarf-wearing fans for a day dedicated to the scarf.
