Remember When Justin Timberlake Was Arrested for DWI in New York?

In June of 2024, a night out on the town for former NSYNC member Justin Timberlake, turned into a PR nightmare.

The singer was out on Long Island in Sag Harbor according to reports enjoying dinner at The American Hotel with friends. According to ABC7 NY, Timberlake was cited for "running a stop sign and swerving into a lone of oncoming traffic."

Authorities told the news outlet Timberlake was "operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition."

Timberlake was held overnight at the Sag Harbor Harbor Village Justice Court and was released the following day. Then, in September 2024 he agreed to plead guilty to driving while ability impaired and the DWI charge was dropped.

Justin Timberlake's Arrest Goes Viral

Details and bodycam footage of Justin Timberlake getting pulled over was released shortly after news broke about his DWI arrest.

During the traffic stop, we learned that the young officer didn't know who Justin Timberlake was much to the singers dismay.

That's when JT tried to flex as to who he was and explained to the rookie officer this arrest would "ruin the tour."

"This is going to ruin the tour" then became a popular meme across social media.

Timberlake's Arresting Officer Receives Top Honor

The arresting officer during Justin Timberlake's DWI stop was Michael Arkison of the Sag Hardob Police Department.

TMZ is now reporting that Arikson was just given the Officer Of The Year award within the Sag Harbor Police Department. According to TMZ, Chief Rob Drake praised the rooking for "making an immediate impact within the department and community."
