Back at the end of August, I shared with you how the New York State Bridge Authority planned to celebrate the Rip Van Winkle Bridge turning 90. They have a big weekend planned, and the event has finally arrived. If you plan to travel in the area this weekend, expect to encounter the celebration. Be prepared for some delays.

The Rip Van Winkle Bridge is Celebrating 90 Years as a Motorway

Of course, everyone is also welcome to join in the fun as the Rip Van Winkle Bridge enjoys 90 years of being just one of many bridges that help people get from one side ot the Hudson River to the Other. This weekend's event is much like what the NYS Bridge Authority held last year when the Bear Mountain Bridge celebrated 100 years of serving drivers in the Hudson Valley.
