The Price Chopper/Market 32 store located at 358 North Main Street in Gloversville, NY, will close for the final time at the end of the day on Saturday, January 10th, 2026, according to WRGB.
Market 32 and Price Chopper President Blaine Bringhurst made the announcement in a statement saying,
"After thoroughly reviewing the store’s current and future viability, we concluded that closing is the appropriate course of action."
Why is Price Chopper Closing?
The statement didn't cite specific reasons as to why the store was closing, but Bringhurst did explain that this isn't something the grocery store normally does.
“It’s never easy to close a store—and we rarely do—but we have an obligation to make thoughtful business decisions that position our company for long-term health and growth,” said Bringhurst. "We’ve had a long history in the Gloversville community and are deeply grateful to our customers and teammates for their loyalty and support over the years."
