A Hudson Valley teen girl is accused of making a terrifying school shooting threat that forced her school district to close down for days.

On Feb. 27, City of Poughkeepsie Police received a report a 17-year-old from Poughkeepsie who told police she noticed threats on Snapchat which stated, in part, “Poughkeepsie high school students take your pick because I’m coming for you on Thursday March 1st.”

The threat was accompanied by a list of student names, which included her own name, and a picture of five guns, police say.

The full threat read as followed:

"Poughkeepsie high school students take your pick cause I'm coming for you on Thursday March 1st! I'm sick and tired of all the bullies in our school so I'm finally putting an end to all of it In my opinion everyone in this school will be dead," the post read. "No one is safe so watch your back haha I'm coming and if you hide I'll find you."

The City of Poughkeepsie Police began an investigation into the threat with help from the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the City of Poughkeepsie School District and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, the 17-year-old Poughkeepsie girl who made the original report was arrested for making a terroristic threat, a felony, and making a punishable false written statement, a misdemeanor.

Police didn't go into details about why they allege the 17-year-old girl who reported the threat is the person who made the social media school shooting threat.

The teen was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
