Every time I'm out catching up with my friends, we always get into the topic of our favorite podcasts. I recently came across one with some strong Hudson Valley ties and what I think is a pretty interesting topic to cover.

The Crimetown podcast had my attention last summer as Zac Stuart-Pontier and Marc Smerling followed the story of corrupt politician Buddy Cianci and his mob ties. Hook, line and sinker. I listened every week.

In the latest installment of Crimetown, Stuart-Pontier follows the story of the Robert F. Kennedy assassination, called The RFK Tapes. Through 10 episodes they will go over secret police tapes that haven't been heard since the events of that day in 1968 occured.

The owner of said secret tapes is Bill Klaber, who is also the author of several RFK themed books. The most popular being "Shadow Play: The Unsolved Murder of Robert F. Kennedy."

Klaber, and Stuart Pontier, are both natives of Jeffersonville in Sullivan County. In the first two episodes, which as of Monday are the only episodes released thus far, the two meet in Jeffersonville to take a listen to the tapes and discuss the major players.

The RFK Tapes podcast will track down those featured in the tapes to "investigate troubling questions about one of the most significant crimes in American History."
