UPDATE: Volunteer Vanishes: Man Missing in Ulster County New York
UPDATE Dec 11, 2024: The Kingston Police have canceled their missing person alert for Peter H. Kaprelian. Mr Kaprelian's family also confirmed on various community social media sites that he had been located. Unfortunately, he was found deceased. The family member who shared this news was grateful for the outpouring of support from the surrounding communities and the efforts made to locate Peter.
The National Center for Missing and Endangered People has posted on its social media that a Kingston man has disappeared. Reportedly, he was last seen in the New Paltz area.
According to what was shared through social media 58-year-old Peter H. Kaprelian has been missing since late afternoon on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024. Both his family and law enforcement are hoping you can help locate Peter.
Ulster County Man Missing After Volunteering
Both the National Center for Missing and Endangered People and the Kingston, New York Police Department are leaning on the public to help locate Mr. Kaprelian who was seen last week outside the Tops Market collecting money for the Salvation Army's holiday campaign. Later that evening, he was also seen near the Rail trail and Garvan's in New Paltz.

Unfortunately, the police don't have a lot to go on. If you have come in contact with Mr. Kaprelian who is 58 years old, weighs about 190 pounds, and stands over 6 feet tall, please reach out to the Kingston Police Department.
Missing Ulster County Man Last Seen Bear Tops Market in New Paltz, NY
Mr. Kaprelian's disappearance has been shared on a few Facebook groups. Obviously, most people are being supportive in the hope that he will be found, Many people are also sharing that they recognized Mr. Kaprelian as a man they saw collecting money for the Salvation Army. Some have also mentioned seeing him later that night in New Paltz near the rail trail and Garvan's.
