New Hot Spot for Dumplings Coming to Poughkeepsie

If you are a fan of dumplings it looks like a brand new restaurant is set to open soon in Poughkeepsie, New York.

There is one thing that Poughkeepsie is in no short supply of and that's there are a ton of great places to grab a bite to eat. No matter what you are craving you can probably find it in some section of Poughkeepsie, right?

Poughkeepsie is home to great pizza at places like Gino's and Hudson & Packard, sandwiches from Rossi's, great BBQ at Cue and Brew, and numerous places for sushi and Chinese food but from what I can gather there aren't many options for one food that if you haven't tried yet you need to try ASAP!

Dumplings Coming to Poughkeepsie, NY?

If the picture above is any indication of what coming soon, Poughkeepsie, and all surrounding area "dumpling lovers" should be getting excited because one of the Hudson Valley's best and most famous places for dumplings is expanding. Palace Dumplings will be opening soon in the Hudson Heritage Plaza on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie!

Palace Dumpling's

If the name Palace Dumplings sounds like something you've heard before, you have, as their original restaurant located in the Lafayette Plaza on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls, NY has been serving the area with amazing dumplings, salads, and more for over a decade. Over the years Hu Yanmei (Chef Jenny) who owns and operates Palace Dumplings has won awards for the food creations she offers at the Wappingers Falls location including numerous "best of awards", and 5-star reviews on Yelp and Google.

Palace Dumpling Opening in Poughkeepsie

The new Palace Dumpling location in Poughkeepsie will NOT be replacing the Wappingers Falls location but will become the franchise's second restaurant. The new location is currently under construction and according to Chef Jenny will open as soon as possible. She told us that they are currently awaiting approvals from the town to be able to open for business and are hoping that will happen within the next few weeks. When they announce the opening date we will update this article.
